What services do you offer?
We specialise in providing advice, assistance and mentoring in employment relations (ER) matters. We carry out independent employment investigations and can advise on your investigatory, disciplinary and performance management processes. We aim to empower and equip you with the tools to help you minimise your risk of personal grievances and employment disputes. We draft and review employment agreements and workplace policies. We provide a short crash course on employment law and the basics that every employer, manager and team leader should know.
Why should I use your services?
Often it can be difficult to conduct employment investigations in house, especially if you want to avoid conflicts of interest. We can take the stress out of an investigation by running it from start to finish. Taking a preventative approach to personal grievances is a better investment for you and your business. Our services equip you with the tools and knowledge to manage your business confidently by taking away the fear of the unknown and helping you to minimise ER risks successfully. Most employers come unstuck because they don’t know how to translate seemingly complex legislation into simple pragmatic steps. We’ll break those steps down for you in a way that makes sense for your business.
My employee has raised a personal grievance. Can you represent me?
We take a preventative approach to ER. Our business is to provide you with the advice, tools and mentoring to help minimise your risk of a successful personal grievance. We can give you advice on how to run a robust disciplinary process, but we don’t take on cases or defend personal grievances.
How does your mentoring service work?
Our mentoring service is about improving your practical knowledge of ER and empowering you to confidently manage the ER side of your business. You tell us what you need and we can customise a package for you. You might need someone to call to run things by on an ongoing basis; or you might need someone to help you manage a disciplinary investigation from start to finish. You might be a new manager and would like someone you can call for quick and pragmatic advice; or you might be a small business owner planning to employ staff for the first time and you’re not quite sure where to start. Mentoring is not just about giving you advice; it’s about providing you with the practical thinking behind that advice so you can manage your ER matters with confidence.
How much does it cost?
We charge an hourly rate for all work and can provide you with an estimate of costs prior to undertaking any big project work. Please get in touch and talk to us about our free initial one hour consult, our rates and how we can work around your unique business needs.
Do you help employees?
Our business is to help minimise the risk of successful personal grievances – that is, we’re all about helping you save money through prevention, not cure. We don’t defend personal grievances. You may be an employee needing some advice on your employment agreement – and we can do that. We do not provide representation in employment disputes for either party (there are plenty of lawyers out there who will do this).
